14 January 2022 - At the end of last year, Indonesia was hit by the eruption of Mount Semeru which caused damage to houses and public facilities, as well as fields that have become main income for the surrounding community. Based on data from the Emergency Response Command Post (Posko) for the Mount Semeru Eruption as of December 21, 2021, the number of displaced residents amounted to 10,395 people, spread over 410 evacuation points.
As a commitment to ease the burden on the affected communities, Tripatra, collaborates with the Human Initiative (HI), distributed assistance in the form of donations collected from the company and all employees. The assistance provided was in the form of learning kit for elementary school children so that they could return to school with proper learning equipment, and packages for mattresses, blankets, bolsters, and cleaning support facilities for the community at the refugee camps.

HODiv Communication & Sustainability TRIPATRA, Ninenesiana, explained that this action is a real form of commitment and support from all Tripatra employees for the community who have survived the eruption of Mount Semeru. "This assistance from Tripatra personnel is expected to help ease the burden on the affected communities, especially those who still have to live in refugee camps. Hopefully they can recover and carry out their activities as normal as before the disaster," she hoped.
