Ujung Pangkah Development Project

In 2008, HESS appointed Tripatra to develop an Onshore Oil Treating Storage facility and LPG Recovery plant in the Ujung Pangkah field. Tripatra provided EPC service for the Oil Treating facility with the capacity of 20,000 BPD and LPG Recovery Facilities with the capacity of 130 MMSCFD of Sales Gas and 6,500 BPD mixed LPG. In addition, the scope also included the construction of 3 LPG Storage Spheres (3x17,000BBL), a jetty modification for loading arms, and a jetty upgrade.

 

The scope of UPD Phase II project includes all necessary and sufficient project management, engineering, supervision, QA/QC, certification, services, materials, tools, equipment, labor, transportation, consumables, and insurance required for design, procurement, fabrication, construction, installation, hook-up, commissioning and performance testing of the OTF, LPGF, Pipelines and Jetty modifications. The summary of the scope of work as follows:

 

  • Oil Treating Facility (OTF) – Capacity 20,000 BPD
    • 2 Stage Flash Separations and Crude Oil Stabilization Systems
    • Crude Oil Pumping, Metering and Marine Loading System
    • 2 km (2.6 km on Jetty), 24” Crude Oil Pipeline to Jetty
    • 2 Unit Centrifugal (Tandem) Gas Turbine Driven Compressor Package, total capacity 6 MW for 130 MMSCFD and 150 MMSCFD (Total : 280 MMSCFD)
  • LPG Recovery Facilities (LPGF) – Capacity 130 MMSCFD (Sales Gas) and 6,500 BPD (mix LPG)
  • LPG Recovery Plant (using UOP/ORTLOFF SCORE Process)
  • LPG Storage Spheres (3 x 17,000 BBL)
  • LPG Pumping, Metering and Marine Loading System
  • Using existing 8” Condensate Line for LPG delivery from Plant Jetty
  • Jetty Modification
    • Oil and LPG loading arms
    • Jetty Upgrade for Larger Ships
